Afterwards, a compression garment or Ace bandage will be worn until
fluid drainage has stopped, perhaps days or, in some instances, weeks
after the procedure, depending on specific case circumstances.

Bandages will be changed 1 or 2 days post-surgery.

Drains and sutures will be removed 5-10 days after surgery or whenever
fluids have finished draining completely.

Pain will be controlled through the use of over-the-counter or prescription
medications and may last for up to 2 weeks.

Swelling from the procedure should subside 2 weeks to 2 months afterwards.

Bruising will fade in as little as a few days or as long as 2 weeks
after surgery.

Numbness may last for several weeks after the procedure.

Normal activity can be resumed anywhere from several days to several
weeks after surgery, depending on case circumstances and personal healing
progression.

Final result of the procedure will be evident in one to six months
afterwards, although most patients will notice a difference within days
or weeks as swelling gradually subsides.
